Yay! One of my favorite prints is back in circulation. Thanks to 20×200 who has teamed up with artist Dylan Fareed you can get your hands on a limited edition letterpress print of “We Are So Good Together”. I practically harassed poor Dylan back in 2007 to get a copy of the print and was thrilled when he found one in his studio and sold it to me. Obviously it can be read as a romantic sentiment, but I love what Dylan meant by it: “The print was just for myself—a half-hearted joke about the bond between a guy and the paper that hangs on his wall.” That’s awesome. Hurry up and grab one for yourself or someone you love before they sell out again!

I don’t even know where to begin. I am so excited for the release of the Great Food book series for Penguin with covers designed by the incomparable Coralie Bickford-Smith. The series covers food writing from the last 400 years. Some of my favorite contemporary authors are included like Calvin Trillin and the legend Alice Waters but some of the best titles come from vintage authors like eighteenth-century housewife Hannah Glasse and her “Everlasting Syllabub and the Art of Carving.” This beautiful set of 20 reissued classics will be available in the UK this April. The rest of us will have to pre-order through Amazon and wait patiently for the October 25th release in the US.

Birth Day.

Now that Grady is sleeping from 7pmish to 7amish, I finally feel like a normal, productive human who can accomplish more than just changing diapers and washing loads of spit-up off of my shirt everyday. I’ve been meaning to share his birth announcement with you for months…so here it is!

I worked with local Salt Lake City designer Elpitha Tsoutsounakis who has a letterpress studio here called Print In Cursive. Because of the cost I wasn’t able to do these in letterpress but Elpitha helped me to create something amazing anyway. I gave her swatches of the Sister Parish fabric that I used in Grady’s nursery and let her run with it. My favorite part is how she took the Wilco quote we loved and incorporated it into the flow of the design. For more on Elpitha check out her website and read the post about her on Design Sponge.
