Anthropologie cross-body bags

The It bag this Summer has got to be the cross-body mini bag. It’s the perfect accessory for concerts and summer festivals.  The hubs and I are going to see Phish at the Greek in Berkeley next weekend and even though I’m a Mom now I still want to look like I know what’s hip. I’ve been scouring the internet for some options and these are my favorites.

I’ve been on the hunt for a diaper bag for most of this pregnancy and let me tell you it has been a full time job! For starters there are a million different brands to choose from add to that a gazillion different shapes to choose from and once that is narrowed down there are a bazillion unique patterns to choose from.  At this point I’ll probably be using a paper bag to lug around butt wipes, extra diapers and a change of clothes for the poor boy.

So to help make my decision easier I’ve decided to simplify my needs. I want something boxy and roomy with a bold modern pattern.  These carryalls from Saltbox NYC just might be the answer to my prayers. I so wish the hubs and I had the time and money to go on a tropical vacation before the little bambino arrives in January. It doesn’t help matters that we went to see the movie Couples Retreat this weekend (mediocre at best) and I had to watch visions of Bora Bora cover the screen for 90 minutes while I salivated.  Lucky for me I am a big daydreamer and so I will include these bright boho chic handbags from Elliot Mann into my dreams of a trip to Tahiti someday.  Each of these one-of-a-kind handbags are constructed from vintage remnants of 100% cotton and handwoven fabrics from around the world. Using retro wallpapers, WINDDF makes a whole bunch of cute products from jewelry to my personal favorite, lampshades.  Lucky for us they have an Etsy shoppe so you don’t have to wait for a trip to Florence to purchase, though that would certainly be worth getting out of bed for!
