Here are a few of mine: Abraxas Discala, went to school with my brother and Mona Lisa Doubleday went to boarding school with my older sister! Wow! This just might be one of my best giveaways EVER! One lucky lady or gentleman will win this stunning necklace from Loren Hope Designs.  After all, Valentines Day is just around the corner and this would be a lovely surprise for your lady love. Inspired by the vintage jewelry she plundered while playing in her grandmother’s thrift shop as a little girl, Raleigh, NC based designer Loren Barham founded Loren Hope Designs in 2005.  Her love of color and vintage construction are obvious in this fabulous statement piece, the Peyton Bib Necklace.

Here’s how you can enter to win:  Leave a comment telling me where you would wear this beautiful handcrafted necklace? You have until Monday night to enter and Loren will choose the lucky winner. I will announce the winner Tuesday morning.

I would wear it to the All-In Ball a fabulous benefit to help raise money to support my friend Tyler, who by the way would look amazing in this necklace.

And the winner is….Maglie!

santa salad plate

For my final giveaway of 2009 Lizzy Fisher of Vietri in Fearrington, North Carolina has sent me this adorable white Santa plate. I would imagine that Good Ol’ St. Nick and his round little belly would shake with a laugh like a bowl full of jelly to find this plate filled with cookies when he arrives down your chimney!

The plate measures 9″ x 11″ and is made for Vietri’s Bellezza line by Tuscan artisans using traditional 13th century Montelupo techniques and enamel to create a low-gloss surface on each handmade terra cotta piece.  This plate would also be really cute hung on your wall during the holidays.

sarah pinto

It must be the back-to-school feel of September that gets me into an organizational mood. Last week I cleaned out all of my closets, organized our basement and started a journal of my pregnancy! In keeping with my new state of being I thought these planners would be the perfect giveaway to inspire you to get organized too!

Sarah Pinto, a busy Mom of two active boys was having trouble finding a stylish and cute planner to help keep all of her ducks in a row so, she decided to create her own! Her line of planners and notebooks are all made in San Francisco from recycled paper and soy-based ink so you can feel “green” about this choice too.

In order to enter the giveaway: visit Sarah Pinto and leave a comment below telling me which of the five unique cover designs is your favorite. I will randomly draw a winner and make the announcement this Friday!

P.S. Check out Sarah’s cause here.

Happy Friday Frillows! Fridays are always a little better when the sun is shining and when I have something fabulous to giveaway! The talented Karen Park behind the Etsy shop Dari is generously giving away this Ketase Bag.   This slouchy hobo bag is made from an African wax print. The fabric came from Zambia and is printed using a unique mechanical process developed to imitate handmade Indonesian batik. The technique is now used exclusively to produce African wax print fabrics. The result is a hardy fabric with a cool waxy, textured sheen. Thanks Karen for all of this great information about your bag.

In order for one lucky person to win you’ll have to dig deep to answer the following question: “What is the most exotic place in the world you would like to travel and what supplies would you carry in the bag to get you through?” You have until Tuesday June 23, 2009 to answer!

love_large_print_rnd2

I’ve been out of the blog loop for most of this week while I’ve been visiting my family on the East coast but I’m never too busy for Friday Giveaways!

This week, the wife and husband team Jordan Provost, a photographer and Jason Wong a graphic designer are offering this whale print to one lucky Frillow!  They are the design duo behind Enormous Champion, their print shop in Brooklyn.  This print is a limited edition 7 color letterpress measuring 8″x 10″. Perfect for a child’s room or anywhere in your beach house in the Hamptons, Cape Cod, Nantucket or Mendocino, I wish!

Here’s your question: Who are the true champions of Enormous Champion? Hint: they speak “meow”. You have until midnight on Monday June 8th to reply. Have a great weekend and I’ll see you next week when I’m back to my old routine!

(the color above is accurate but the image below shows the writing on the print a little better. It says “…a cetacean study” and then on the bottom left side it lists the name of each type of whale)

lactosemilk-it

I have to say I was pretty impressed that you all were able to come up with milk stories let alone such funny ones.  It was tough but I had to go with Karen who wins the Milk It plate because she loves dipping salty french fries into a milkshake. That has got to be one of my all time favorite salty/sweet combination’s. Second winner goes to Jen and her daughter Julia because anyone who has to go through life lactose intolerant deserves some sort of prize! Thanks to all of you who participated!

milkitnewGood morning Frillows! It’s Giveaway Friday and I’m showcasing my college friend and very talented artist Mark Moskovitz’s dessert plates.  The plates were originally conceived as a tongue in cheek reference to keeping kosher with the words “meat” and  “dairy” inscribed on them.  For today’s giveaway two winners will each receive a set of four dessert plates. One winner for the “milk it” set and one winner for the “lactose intolerant” set.

So here’s what you need to do to win: In the comments section below, first tell me which set you like (lactose or milk it) and next I want you to share a milk story. It could be how you “milked” a situation or maybe what your favorite thing is to dip in milk. I’ve gotta go with an Oreo cookie on this one! The giveaway ends Sunday May 17th at midnight!  See more from Mark at his webshop Fiftytwothousand.
