le souk

Wednesday, April 20th, 2011

Dying over these guitar pillows – especially the ones in the Liberty of London print. If you haven’t been to the Le Souk website before, be prepared to find at least a dozen items that you’ll desperately want for yourself or as a gift for someone else.  The baby and kids section had be exclaiming “awww!” to the annoyance of the other folks in the coffee shop, sorry people! Check it out, you’ll see what I mean.

I’d rock these.

marc jacobs baby bag

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

This just in…the incomparable Marc Jacobs enters the already flooded market of diaper bags and completely nails it!  Pretty much the only reason I’ve held on to my cheap-o Babies-R-Us diaper bag is that it seems to be bottomless when I’m frantically trying to get out the door and shoving a million things inside.  This nylon bag looks like it could easily get the job done and besides I’m madly in love with it. Available on shopbop for *gulp* $278.

*Update: I went to see the bag in person and it seemed very flimsy for a diaper bag. I still love the fun striped pattern but I think I need a more structured bag.

I would happily have an entire wardrobe full of pieces from Paris based Sandro.  With over 50 locations in France I gather that Sandro is to France what ZARA is to Spain and I guess on some level Banana Republic is to America.  Though being French, it’s obviously more chic than any chain fashion label could ever hope to be.  Here are some of my favorite looks from their Spring 2011 collection.

Thanks to {this is glamorous} for finding this!

mabo kids part deux

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

Yay! The Mabo Kids Spring 2011 collection is here.  I love watching how Emily’s design aesthetic changes with each new collection.  I also happen to know that Emily put a lot of time into finding 100% cotton for her designs, just more evidence that quality is of the utmost importance to her.  With every design under $50 I have no doubt that these looks will resonate with stylish Moms everywhere.

black kite

Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011

I thought I was satisfied dressing Grady in checks and stripes until I heard about Black Kite’s bold printed shirts.  Leave it to a San Francisco native and child model for ESPRIT (oh how I love love loved ESPRIT back in the day) to come up with such fun original shirts for boys. Browse the online store and try to contain yourself from buying one in every jazzy pattern!

emersonmade part deux

Thursday, March 3rd, 2011

I wrote about EmersonMade last September but this girl is killing me with her new Spring line so I have to give her more love. Where was Miss Emerson when I was a student at UNH? She is based in Portsmouth, NH and I would have loved rocking these fashions all over campus back in the day.  It’s not too late for me though. I’m planning a girls trip to NYC this April and you better believe that black and cream tuxedo jacket is coming with me.  Check out more from Emerson here.

It took me a second too, BHLDN or Beholden has suddenly become my favorite website for party dressing. The idea behind BHLDN is to provide everything in one place that a woman might need to dress for a wedding or special event. The website makes it easy to browse vintage inspired dresses and then layer in the perfect shoe, heirloom quality jewelry, handbags and even pretty lingerie. If I could do my wedding all over again, this is where I would be shopping!

devon baer

Monday, February 14th, 2011

The hubs and I just booked our first trip to the Caribbean in May and I can hardly wait! Which means I am already packing my bags in my mind and imagining filling it with these beachy looks from NYC designer Devon Baer.  She has an Etsy shop filled with her collection of preppy tunics, belts and jewelry. See more from Devon here.

I first heard about Devon in the Australian edition of Ivy & Piper magazine.  Subscribe to their online edition here.
