For Grady’s nursery I went with a bold color on the walls and softer accessories like the black and white animal card mobile from Wee Gallery. This time around I’m going with a soft grey on the wall and colorful accessories like those found on this brilliant mobile. Screamy Mimi (try to say that name 10x’s fast) crocheted this fantastic mobile for her daughters nursery. I love how she crafted it to be as visually stunning from below as it is from the side. She will customize a mobile to your color specifications through her Etsy shop. Can’t wait to see my finished mobile!

Dying over these guitar pillows – especially the ones in the Liberty of London print. If you haven’t been to the Le Souk website before, be prepared to find at least a dozen items that you’ll desperately want for yourself or as a gift for someone else. The baby and kids section had be exclaiming “awww!” to the annoyance of the other folks in the coffee shop, sorry people! Check it out, you’ll see what I mean.

This just in…the incomparable Marc Jacobs enters the already flooded market of diaper bags and completely nails it! Pretty much the only reason I’ve held on to my cheap-o Babies-R-Us diaper bag is that it seems to be bottomless when I’m frantically trying to get out the door and shoving a million things inside. This nylon bag looks like it could easily get the job done and besides I’m madly in love with it. Available on shopbop for *gulp* $278.

*Update: I went to see the bag in person and it seemed very flimsy for a diaper bag. I still love the fun striped pattern but I think I need a more structured bag.

Yay! The Mabo Kids Spring 2011 collection is here. I love watching how Emily’s design aesthetic changes with each new collection. I also happen to know that Emily put a lot of time into finding 100% cotton for her designs, just more evidence that quality is of the utmost importance to her. With every design under $50 I have no doubt that these looks will resonate with stylish Moms everywhere.

I realize this is beginning to look suspiciously like a baby blog lately and not a design blog but everything has gotten so hip for kids these days that I believe even if you don’t have kids you can appreciate these things.

The latest adorable designs come via sisters Cristina and Genevieve Burgess from Canada who recently launched Auggie, a line of bedding for kids. Sizes range from crib to queen (I guess I won’t be upgrading to a king bed anytime soon) and includes decorative pillows and quilts. See more from Auggie and buy online here.
